The Magnetar Remote Control App is available for iOS and Android based phones and tablets and we are unaware of any incompatibility issues based on any specific hardware devices.

The app can be downloaded direct to your device from the Google Play Store or the Apple App store.

The app is entirely free

To connect the app to the player for the first time, you will need to know the players IP address. This can be found in the player menu by accessing SETTINGS>NETWORK> INFORMATION

A digital version of the handheld remote, inclusive of all buttons and functions is represented in the app and works simply by touching the button on the device screen that you wish to use.

Also, a simplified version of the remote control interface is available in the app. The simplified remote menu supports the most basic controls (play, stop, FF, RW, pause, etc) and is good for those who don't need all of the buttons present on the full remote interface and simply wish to issue basic commands. It's also great for those who may find the full remote/ remote interface too complex.

The full range of settings controls are available just as the On Screen Menu presents. Whether its display settings, audio settings, or any other function in the player, the settings controls have you covered.

Whether your content is network based or USB drive based, the app offers convenient access to that content directly in the app and provides the ability to select a file from any connected source for playback. The app does not allow for phone based content to be streamed to the player.
