The UDP800 is designed for bit perfect pure audio playback, featuring a 4-layer PCB circuit board with independent wiring for each channel. It utilizes two separate Burr-Brown PCM1795 DAC processors for two-channel D/A decoding, handling the left and right channels independently.
To achieve audiophile-grade sound quality, the UDP800 is equipped with high-quality MUSES8920 operational amplifiers. Additionally, it offers both stereo XLR balanced outputs and stereo RCA gold-plated unbalanced outputs for versatile connectivity.
The UDP800 is fully compatible with a wide range of disc formats, including 4K UHD BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, AVCHD, SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW. It also offers seamless connectivity to various media sources via USB 3.0, supporting hard drives up to 16TB. The UDP800 can effortlessly access video, music, and image files through DLNA, SMB, and NFS protocols, with support for a broad array of media formats such as MKV, AVI, MP4, WAV, FLAC, APE, DSD, and more. This enables easy playback and management of media from Disc, USB, and LAN storage devices.
A custom 60W high-power low noise transformer was specially selected for the UDP800, with a two-stage filter design along with a multitude of Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors are used to meet the high transient response required by surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. A separate metal case dampens noise providing stability and quietness, further enhancing the audio and video quality.
The Magnetar engineering team understands that to achieve exceptional audio and video performance requires high quality chassis construction and stability. UDP800 adopts a solid high-rigidity metal body and a reinforced double layer chassis structure. The internal main components are independently shielded by metal casing, greatly reducing vibration, noise and external magnetic field interference, bringing pure and high-resolution audio and video quality.
