Looking at the UDP800/900 specs. The one thing I don't see mentioned that my aging Oppo player has is HDCD support. Yes, it's a bit niche, but all new Grateful Dead CD's (including the Dave's Picks series) still come with HDCD encoding. Is HDCD supported?

Your best bet is to reach out to a third party provider.
I DO hope that Magnetar adds hdcd decoding. As a player that promises so many formats - and having hundreds of discs that have this... I hope it can be added to a frimware update soon!
