Reading music files

  I have a external HD holding several music files from my Mac that was readable by my Oppo 203, and a Eversolo DMP-A8.  It has standard CD files and high-res files from HD Tracks and other web sources.  However my 900 won't read it - music file not readable per a pop up.  This is a new machine just received 2/11/25 - is there a patch to the 900 that allows it read these files?  I want to maintain a common format so to keep my DMP-A8 and Mac files cross-readable.
